In 2018, 499 exhibitions were organized in Turkey, which is 24 exhibitions more compared to 2017, Trend reports referring to the country's Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges (TOBB).
According to the TOBB, in 2018, 129 international exhibitions were held in Turkey, which were attended by 34,600 people.
In total, in 2018, 22.854 million people attended exhibitions organized in Turkey, 714,000 of whom were foreigners.
According to the TOBB, in 2018, Istanbul ranked first in terms of the number of exhibitions held (201).
Meanwhile, Ankara and Izmir accounted for 34 and 41 exhibitions, respectively. The remaining 223 exhibitions were held in other cities of Turkey.
