Kazakh plant to begin producing bioethanol

Processing plant of “Bio Operations” LLP in the North Kazakhstan Region is preparing to launch a bioethanol production workshop, Trend reports citing Kazakh media.

This year, the plant produced more than 7,000 tons of starch and 2,000 tons of gluten. Products are supplied to Almaty and Kostanay in Kazakhstan and to Uzbekistan.

“At the end of 2019, the company plans to launch a bioethanol production facility with a capacity of 36,000 tons per year. By 2022, the workload of the enterprise will reach 100 percent. The annual production of starch is planned to increase to 39,000 tons, gluten - up to 10,000 tons, and bio-ethanol to 36,000 tons per year," first deputy governor of the region Marat Tasmaganbetov said at a meeting with farmers.

In addition to Bio Operations, a robotized feed production plant Kazmeal LLP was launched in the region recently. Its capacity is 360,000 tons of finished products per year to be exported. The total investment amounted to more than 4 billion tenge.

Exports of products of the North-Kazakh region amounted to 284,000 tonsof the value of $68 million, which is 11 percent more than last year.
