Liabilities of Azerbaijan's NBC Bank increase

Azerbaijan's NBC Bank increased the volume of liabilities by 4.5 percent or 10.104 million manats compared to late 2018, and reached 235.378 million manats by the end of the second quarter of 2019, Trend informs referring to a financial report of the bank.

According to the report, in the structure of liabilities, the volume of the deposit portfolio increased by 1.5 percent in the first half of 2019 and reached 225.999 million manats, of which the share of legal entities, other banks and financial institutions amounted to 124.565 million manats. The remaining share of the portfolio relates to deposits of individuals.

The total assets of the bank at the end of June 2019 increased by 3.6 percent and reached 293.711 million manats. In the structure of assets, the main share is occupied by the loan portfolio, the volume of which, after deducting the earmarked reserves, increased by 4.5 percent in the reporting period and amounted to 213.645 million manats.

The fixed assets in the form of real estate and equipment, less depreciation, declined slightly in six months, totaled to 58.737 million manat.

The amount of cash in the bank in the first six months of this year increased by 45.5 percent and reached 8.783 million manats. Balances on nostro accounts increased by 2.7 times to 3.633 million manats.

Intangible assets minus depreciation in aggregate with other assets during the reported period decreased by 27.3 percent to 8.918 million manats.

The total capital of the bank as of June 30, 2019 amounted to 58.332 million manats. It was formed from a share capital of 64 million manats, total reserves of 2.48 million manats and a deduction of retained earnings of 8.333 million manats.

Net profit for the second quarter of this year amounted to 184,800 manat.
