BDO Azerbaijan, a branch of the international BDO company providing consulting services in legal, tax and accounting matters, has offered a range of services to French companies operating in Azerbaijan, Azer Akbarov, Senior Manager at BDO Azerbaijan, told Trend.
According to the Senior Manager, well-known French companies operating in Azerbaijan, such as Suez, Total, and SADE, are interested in the services provided by BDO.
"The French company SADE, which has been operating in the local market for close to 10 years, has shown the greatest interest in the services we offer. The company has been participating in the implementation of innovative projects of Azerbaijan’s water operator Azersu, as well as in the construction and cleaning of water reservoirs. Other market participants also took notice of the presence of our company in this market," he said.
Akbarov noted that BDO offers services such as the opening and registering of companies to foreign partners, as well as a range of other services at the market entry stage, up to and including personnel records management.
"Many of the French companies are already working in the local market with a number of consulting companies. Still, we decided to present ourselves again and offer them our services. Practice shows that foreign companies often change their consultants, due to human factors or quality of services. Therefore, foreign companies, in addition to developing their business, must be sure that they are fully instructed in the field of legislation in order to avoid risks associated with tax obligations, in violation of standards and requirements of the legislation, and so on," Akbarov said.
Akbarov noted that currently the branches of BDO are operating in 162 countries around the world, including France.
