In June 2019, 4,754 ships arrived at Turkish ports, the gross registered tonnage of which amounted to 63,603,042 tons, Trend reports referring to Turkish Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure.
In June 2019, 2,049 ships sailing under the Turkish flag and 2,705 ships sailing under flags of other countries arrived at Turkish ports.
The gross registered tonnage of ships arriving at Turkish ports under the Turkish flag in June 2019 amounted to 11,003,826 tons, and the gross registered tonnage of ships under flags of other countries was 52,599,216 tons.
According to the ministry, in January-June 2019, Turkish ports received 25,869 ships with the gross registered tonnage amounting to 390,223,909 tons.
"In January-June 2019, the gross registered tonnage of ships arriving at Turkish ports under the Turkish flag amounted to 60,091,938 tons, and of those under the flags of other countries to 330,131,971 tons," the ministry said.
