The number of vehicles manufactured in Kazakhstan amounted to 20,623 units in 1H2019, which is 40.4 percent more than during the same period of last year, Trend reports with reference to press office of The Association of Kazakhstan Automobile Business.
“Total value of manufactured vehicles amounted to 144.847 billion tenge, which is 64.1 percent more than during the same period of last year,” the report said.
“The increase is mainly due to the passenger cars, the manufacturing volume of which has increased by 36.6 percent and amounted to 18,753 units. The manufacturing volume of trucks amounted to 843 units (+67.9 percent), of buses to 674 units (+318.6 percent), of trailers and semi-trailers to 325 units (+41.3 percent), of other specialized machinery to 28 units,” the statement said.
Furthermore, the percentage of locally manufactured cars on the Kazakh market equaled to 57 percent. According to the press office this is among best indicators in history.
The highest increase of manufacturing is observed on SaryarkaAutoProm plant. The manufactured volume there amounted to 9,290 units of passenger, cargo cars and buses, which is 75 percent more than during the same period of last year.
The Asia Auto plant in Ust'-Kamenogorsk assembled 9,999 units (+17 percent). The KAMAZ Engineering in Kokshetau manufactured 414 trucks, SemAz and Daewoo Bus in Semey produced 319 and 123 units of vehicles respectively, Hyundai Trans Auto in Almaty manufactured 109 buses.
