By Nargiz Sadikhova - Trend:
The manufacturing volume of light industry in Kazakhstan increased by 16.7 percent during January-June 2019, Trend reports with reference to the Ministry of Industry and Infrastructural Development.
In turn, the actual volume index of textile products amounted to 120.5 percent, of clothing to 108.4 percent, of leather and related products to 97.2 percent.
“Kazakh manufacturers still maintain local market of military and special clothing, which provides manufacturers with guarantee sale and minimal risk of demand absence,” the report said.
Within the realization of the ‘economy of simple things’ program the roadmap for development of light industry for 2019-2021 has been developed.
Overall, the realization of over 50 activities is overseen by the roadmap. These events address systemic issues and are aimed at creation of full chain of value-added, as well as at the increase of manufacturing volume.
