Revenues of Agency of Protected Areas of Georgia increases by 57%

During the six months of 2019, the revenues of the Agency of Protected Areas of Georgia amounted to 3,774,722 lari, which is 57 percent more compared to the same period of 2018 (2,398,981 lari), Trend reports with reference to the National Statistics Department of Georgia.

Revenues of the Agency of protected areas include incomes profits from tourist services, rent, compensation for forest management, services of delivery of wood and other income.

Income from tourist services for six months of the current year increased by 30 percent and amounted to 2,662,022 lari. For the same period of 2018, this figure totaled to 2,044,436 lari.

In January-June 2019, rental income increased by 32 percent compared with the six months of last year and amounted to 211,363 lari. During the reporting period last year, this figure reached 160,237 lari.

Compensation for forest management and for service of delivery of wood increased by 12 times (for 6 months of 2018 - 65,765 lari, for 6 months of 2019 - 763 585 lari).

In 2018, the agency’s own revenues amounted to 959,546 lari, with the income 8,221,562 lari from tourist services,437,031 lari from rent, 127,347 lari from compensation for forest management and for service of delivery of wood, and 173,606 lari from other sources.
