Uzbekistan intends to create textile hub in Russian region

Uzbekistan intends to create a logistics hub for the textile and logistics center in Ivanovo region of Russia, Trend reports with reference to the press service of the Uztextile Association.

On July 22, the association hosted a meeting with a delegation of the Government of the Ivanovo region, headed by the Deputy Chairman of the Government of theregion Lyudmila Dmitrieva.

In particular, it is planned to establish logistics hub for the textile and logistics center in the Ivanovo region, which provides for the construction of a warehouse complex for storage and distribution of cotton yarn, cotton fiber and harsh fabrics for subsequent processing at textile enterprises in the region and for shipping goods to textile and clothing enterprises in the region.

Following the talks, the parties agreed on new areas of cooperation, including creation of joint ventures, development of cotton-textile clusters and expansion of trade.

In January-June 2019, Uzbekistan exported textile products to the Ivanovo region for $86 million.
