Georgia's state budget revenues exceed forecasts

In the first half of 2019, the state budget of Georgia included 4.50 billion lari, which is 100.9 percent of the plan for 6 months, reports Trend with reference to the Treasury Service of the Ministry of Finance of Georgia.

According to the report, the lowest productivity in the field of import tax - the forecast for 6 months amounted to 42 million lari, and the actual revenue was 34 million lari, which is 81.2 percent of the plan.

The excise tax plan was not fulfilled - for 6 months the budget received income in the amount of 544 million lari, which is 83.7 percent of the plan (the plan amounted to 653 million lari).

As for the revenues from other types of taxes, according to the Treasury report, the budget received about 1.56 billion income tax, which is 99.3 percent of the plan.

The 6-month VAT plan was not implemented. In particular, the six-month predicted value of the value-added tax was 1.92 billion lari, and actual revenue was 1.85 billion or 96.2 percent of the plan.

The plan was exceeded in terms of income tax - income tax amounted to 473 million lari, which is 112.5 percent of the plan for 6 months.
