US company to participate in re-equipment of Uzbek airport

The US company ADB Safegate will take part in the re-equipment of the International Airport of Nukus city, as well as in localization of part of the aviation industry in Uzbekistan, Trend reports with reference to Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan.

The Ambassador of Uzbekistan in the Benelux countries Dilyor Khakimov met with the CEO of “ADB Safegate” Christian Onselaere in Brussels on July 25.

In the course of substantive discussions, the parties considered specific plans to further expand the presence and participation of ADB Safegate in the projects designated by the leadership of Uzbekistan in the aviation industry.

First of all, these are tasks such as installation of modern light-signaling equipment and automated parking systems for aircraft, and introduction of modern digital technologies for the most efficient and safe use of airports.

Foreign partners highly appreciated the radical changes taking place in the aviation sector of Uzbekistan. As was emphasized, within 24 years of experience in operating in Uzbekistan, ADB Safegate has participated in the re-equipment of eight airports including, among others, the airports of Samarkand, Termez and Urgench.

The US company established more than 100 years ago is a global leader in providing solutions that ensure enhanced security and efficiency at 2,500 airports in 175 countries around the world.
