Income of Russian Beeline in Uzbekistan increases by over 10%

The revenues of the Russian mobile operator Beeline in Uzbekistan in the second quarter of 2019 increased by 10.6 percent compared to the same period of 2018 - to 567.75 billion soums, Trend reports with reference to the VEON company's report.

Moreover, the operator's revenue in the first half of 2019 amounted to 1.1 trillion soums, which is 11.9 percent less compared to the same period of 2018.

Revenues in the mobile segment in the second quarter of 2019 exceeded 562.96 billion soums, which is 10.6 percent less compared to the same period of 2018. In the first half of the year, this figure decreased by 11.9 percent - to 1.09 trillion soums.

Revenue from data transfer services in the second quarter exceeded 255.42 billion soums (+19.7 percent) and the first half of the year - 491 billion soums (+22.8 percent).

EBITDA (earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization) in Uzbekistan in the second quarter of 2018 amounted to 295.64 billion soums, which is 6.9 percent higher compared to the same period of 2018 of the year. EBITDA in the first half of the year increased by 1.7 percent - up to 562.07 billion soums.

Furthermore, the marginality of operations increased from 43.5 percent in the second quarter of 2018 to 49.6 percent in the same period of 2019.

The user base of Beeline in Uzbekistan in the second quarter of 2018 amounted to 8.7 million people, which is 6.6 percent less compared to the same period of 2018. In addition, 5.4 million people use data transmission services in the reporting period, which is 7.8 percent higher compared to the second quarter of 2018.

The average revenue per mobile user (ARPU) per month amounted to 20,873 soums in the second quarter of 2019, which is 5.2 percent more compared to the same period of 2018.

The Mobile Communications Indicator (number of used minutes per user per month) is 616 minutes according to the results of the second quarter of 2019 which is 8.4 percent higher compared to 568 minutes of the same period of 2018.

The use of data transfer per user increased by 118.5 percent to 2215 MB in the second quarter of 2019.
