Kazakhstan sees trade turnover decrease with EAEU partners

The value of mutual trade between Kazakhstan and other countries of Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) amounted to $9.565 billion during 1H2019, which is 2.6 percent less compared to the same period of last year, Trend reports with reference to the data of the Committee of Statistics of Kazakhstan.

Furthermore, $6.652 billion of the sum account for import (decrease of 0.9 percent), whereas $2.913 billion account for export (decrease of 6.3 percent).

Russia is the leader by value of trade turnover with Kazakhstan in the structure of total trade turnover with EAEU countries. Some 92.2 percent account for this country, whereas 4.1 percent account for Kyrgyzstan and 3.6 percent account for Belarus.

The largest part in the import structure is machinery, equipment, vehicles and tools category with indicator of 27.6 percent of the total import. Some 16.4 percent account for metals and articles of them, 16 percent account for products of chemical and related industries, 14.8 percent account for other import. Furthermore, some 13.6 percent of the import account for products of animal and vegetable origin, including prepared food items. Lastly, some 11.6 percent account for mineral products.

In turn, the major part of the export structure (39 percent) accounts for mineral products. Furthermore, 28.5 percent account for metals and articles of them, 12.8 percent account for products of chemical and related industries, 10.1 percent account for products of animal and vegetable origin, including prepared food items, 7.4 percent account for machinery, equipment, vehicles and tools, and 2.2 percent account for other export.
