The Iran Combine Manufacturing Company has produced 120 combines in Arak county of Iran's Markazi province since the beginning of this Iranian year (started on March 21, 2019) up till now, Ali Asghar Hamidifar, Executive Director of the Combine Manufacturing Company, said.

The produced combines are put up for sale in the local and foreign markets, Hamidifar added, Trend reports to IRNA.

The cost of each combine was estimated at 2.6 billion rials (about $61,900), he said.

The company also produces 100 car presses worth more than $4,000 each, Hamidifar added.

He noted that the company exported 14 combines and 24 car presses to Iraq and Uzbekistan this Iranian year.

Hamidifar said that there are more than 7,000 old combines in Iran. More than 880,000 tons of barley and wheat are lost annually by using such old combines, so the farmers must be provided with low-interest loans to replace old combines with new ones.

According to the execution of the privatization law in 2005, 53 percent of the company's shares were sold to the Astan Quds Razavi Foundation.

The foundation paid 400 billion rials (approximately $32.6 million that time) and brought the shares up to 75 percent in 2013.
