Azerbaijan’s Sheki winery is considering a proposal from Spanish partners to supply alcoholic beverages to third countries, director of the winery Vidadi Hasanov told Trend.
“The wine will be supplied from Spain to various European countries and China,” he said. “We have received a number of proposals related to the supply of wine to many countries. Presently, we are carefully exploring all possible options.”
“Currently, our Spanish partners’ proposal seems to be the most optimal one,” he said. “They offer to supply big volumes of alcoholic beverages of our winery to sell in 38 countries. At the same time, we are considering an advantageous offer from our Chinese partners regarding big stable volumes of wine. We may make a flexible decision regarding the supply of wine to China through Spanish partners."
Hasanov stressed that the biggest volume of export will account for ‘Bouquet Sheki’ and ‘Askona’ wine made from Rkatsiteli, Saperavi, Madras, Muscat, Chardonnay and Merlot grape varieties.
“The matter rests in high-quality wine made upon the European technologies,” he said.
The Sheki winery was founded in 2006 with a design annual production capacity of 210,000 decalitres, that is, 280,000 bottles of wine per year.
The winery has been provided with equipment of the Italian company "Della Toffola".
There are wine packaging and weighing facilities, an office building, a pump room, as well as rooms for various technological equipment on the territory of the winery.
Two bunkers for receiving white and red grape varieties are installed at the enter[rise. There are also two lines for the production of white and red wine and a special line for the production of elite types of wine.
