Over 200 projects approved in Kazakhstan's Turkestan

Kazakhstan’s Turkestan region leads among other regions of the country by the number of projects being implemented within the framework of the ‘economy of simple things’ state program, Trend reports with reference to the press office of the regional akimat (administrative center).

The information was disclosed at the meeting of the regional projects' office for the program’s realization.

Currently, 206 projects worth 64.2 billion tenge are being implemented in the region.

“According to the data of the National Chamber of Entrepreneurs and the second tier banks of the country, a significant progress has been observed last week. During this period, 18 projects worth 927 million tenge have been submitted for the review," the report said.

During the period of the programs' realization, 117 projects out of 206 projects accounted for agriculture sector. The least number of projects is observed in construction supplies manufacturing and mechanical engineering (one project each).

As reported, KazAgro National management holding JSC is responsible for funding of agricultural complex.

During the meeting, the issues of timely subsidizing of the program’s projects by Damu Entrepreneurship Development Fund JSC have been discussed. The fund has been mandated to accelerate the review process of entrepreneur’s submissions for interest rate subsidizing. Other relevant issues have also been considered and corresponding instructions have been given.
