Iranian carmaker Iran Khodro Company will produce a minimum of 2,000 cars daily after two months, said Farshad Moghimi, managing director of Iran Khodro Company, Trend reports via IRNA.
He said that spare parts manufacturers will assist the company in this regard.
He added that the purpose is to produce cars and deliver them to customers.
“With the support of the spare parts manufacturers, the unfinished cars in the company will soon be upgraded,” he said.
He noted that an agreement was reached between Iran Khodro Company and the Central Bank of Iran on using foreign currency obtained from exports.
He added that the company itself ensures production of spare parts and is trying to save 244 million euros.
“The spare parts that can be manufactured in Iran shouldn’t be imported,” he said.
He noted that three cars models - Dena+, Peugeot 301 and Peugeot 207 will be produced by the end of this Iranian year (started March 21, 2019).
He said that this year it is planned to export spare parts worth 20 million euros.
