The inflation rate in Kazakhstan equaled 0.2 percent in August, Trend reports with reference to the Statistics Committee of Kazakhstan.
During the reporting period, the consumer price increased by 0.2 percent since July 2019 and by 5.5 percent compared to August 2018.
In turn, prices of enterprises-manufacturers of industrial products decreased by 0.1 percent compared to July 2019 and increased by 3.6 percent compared to August 2018, whereas the purchase price of products for industrial purposes by industrial enterprises increased by 0.2 percent since July and by nine percent since August 2018.
Furthermore, the construction prices were up by 0.4 percent compared to July and by 2.1 percent compared to the reporting month of last year. Producer prices of agricultural products displayed increase by 1.1 percent compared to last month and by 16.9 percent compared to August 2018.
Tariffs for transportation of goods by all modes of transport, for postal and courier services for legal entities and for communication services for legal entities did not increase compared to last month, however they increased by 4.1 percent, by 5.1 percent and by 12.3 percent respectively compared to August 2018.
In addition, prices of wholesale goods increased by 0.1 percent compared to July 2019 and by 4.6 percent compared to August 2019.
