Omani company Arkan Majan Al Mumayaza Trading & Contracting LLC has almost completed all licensing procedures for creating a new joint venture that will build a hotel complex and a shopping center in Uzbekistan, Trend reports citing Uzbek media.

This became known during a meeting with a company delegation at the Foreign Investment Promotion Agency under the Ministry of Investments and Foreign Trade of Uzbekistan

In addition, a poultry farm with the participation of the Omani company will be launched in the Chartak region (Namangan region) of Uzbekistan.

The company’s delegation expressed great interest in establishing trade relations and, in particular, in exporting mineral water from the Chartak field and Uzbek fruits to the Sultanate of Oman.

Members of the delegation noted that thanks to the active cooperation with the Embassy of Uzbekistan in the Sultanate of Oman, the company has successfully entered the country's market. As part of the participation in the investment forum in Namangan in June this year, an agreement was reached on the implementation of projects in agriculture.

The Omani side expressed its readiness to expand cooperation in Uzbekistan, including in the framework of public-private partnership (PPP).

Members of the delegation of the company noted that it would like to get acquainted with the projects developed in the PPP format. This new stage in the development of cooperation will have a positive impact on economic development and improving the quality of life of the population of Uzbekistan, the report said.
