2,900 tons of honey & jams exported from Iran’s Sarab district

This Iranian year (March 21, 2019), 2,900 tons of honey and jams were exported from Sarab district of Iran’s East Azerbaijan province, Governor of the Sarab district Iraj Saqafi said, Trend reports via IRNA Sept. 14.
He said that various kinds of honey and jam products were exported to Azerbaijan, Russia, Malaysia, Iraq, Afghanistan, Pakistan and Germany.
He added that 6,200 tons of honey and jams were produced in the district this year.
“Some 2,100 tons of natural honey are annually produced in the Sarab district,” he said.
Sarab district, 130 km northeast of Tabriz, has a population of 140,000 people.
