Iran commissions 24 industrial enterprises in Lorestan Province

Twenty-four industrial enterprises have been commissioned in Iran’s Lorestan Province this Iranian year (started March 21, 2019), said Head of the Industry, Mine and Trade Organization of Lorestan Province Mohammad Reza Safikhani, Trend reports referring to Shata News Agency.

According to him, the commissioning of the enterprises provided 90 people with jobs.

Safikhani added that 1.08 trillion rials (app. $25.7 million) have been spent on these enterprises. Of these, 460 billion rials (app. $10.9 million) belong to the owners of the businesses, while the rest are made up of loans.

“Some 37 industrial enterprises and 10 agricultural enterprises have resumed their activities this year, and 1.18 trillion rials (app. $28.1 million) of loans were issued to this end,” he said.

The private sector provided 2.37 trillion rials (app. $56.4 million) of investments to these businesses, and 1,194 jobs were created, Safikhani noted.

"The production capacity of 44 industrial enterprises has also increased through $1.42 trillion rials (app. $ 33.8 million) of investments provided by business owners and 44 billion rials ($4.28 million) of loans; 125 new workplaces have been opened," he said.

Safikhani further noted that the activities of industrial enterprises specializing in refrigerator manufacturing, car-making, textile, steel, medical, pharmaceutical and other sectors were resumed.
