Memorandum for online trade development signed in Kazakhstan

The Ministry of Trade and Integration of Kazakhstan, Kazpost JSC and Center for Trade Policy Development JSC have signed a trilateral memorandum in area of electronic commerce, Trend reports with reference to the press office of the ministry.

The sides have agreed to establish operative exchange of information regarding development of electronic commerce, including exchange of data, analysis, results of marketing research, as well as information on state regulatory measures.

The ministry is to provide cooperation in area of compensation for transport expenditures and subsidizing of postal services within export of local goods manufacturers, as well as on the development of transit of foreign goods via territory of Kazakhstan.

The Center for Trade Policy Development JSC is to provide support in area of information and analytics support of electronic commerce market and the training of its participants.

Kazpost JSC is to provide cooperation to Kazakh exporters in delivery of goods within the framework of cooperation with international electronic markets, as well as in undertaking the analysis of consumers, studying the barriers and restrictions of local entrepreneurs on foreign markets.

“We have set a goal to increase the share of electronic commerce in total volume of trade from three to five percent over the course of next five years,” Minister of Trade and Integration of Kazakhstan Bakhyt Sultanov said.
