The volume of exports of goods and services of Uzbekistan in January-August 2019 was fixed at $12.463 billion, which is 46.7 percent more than in the same period last year, Trend reports referring to the State Statistics Committee of Uzbekistan.
The share of exported goods amounted to 82.4 percent or $10,266 billion, of which energy carriers and oil products comprise 15.6 percent, textiles and textile products - 8.4 percent, food products - 8.2 percent, non-ferrous metals and metal products - 5.1 percent, and chemical products and products from it - 4.8 percent.
The volume of exports excluding gold increased by 22.8 percent and amounted to $8,518 billion.
During the reporting period, the number of entities involved in the export of goods and services, increased by 952 units compared with the same period last year, with their total number reaching 4,840 units.
The main partners in the export of goods and services in foreign trade for January-August 2019 were China (16.1 percent of total exports), Russia (12.8 percent), Kazakhstan (7.8 percent), Turkey (6.2 percent), Kyrgyzstan (3.9 percent), Afghanistan (2.9 percent) and Tajikistan (1.6 percent).
This year, among seven major partner countries for the export of goods and services, Tajikistan has regained its place in terms of export share instead of Iran. Meanwhile, Kyrgyzstan also strengthens its position every year along with Afghanistan.
The geography of partner countries for the export of goods and services compared with the same period last year increased from 145 to 166 countries.
The volume of exports of services in January-August 2019 amounted to $2,197 billion, or 17.6 percent of its total volume, and increased by 10.9 percent compared to the same period last year. In the export of services, the lion's share is occupied by transport services and tourism, as well as telecommunications, information, computer and financial services.
