Sharg Ulduzu LLC, an alcoholic beverages producer in Azerbaijan, has developed several varieties of fruit vodka based on foreign technologies, a representative of the company Senan Alirzayev told Trend.

Presently, the company produces six types of vodkas, Alirezayev said.

"The greatest demand is for apple, grape and plum vodkas. Currently, a new line for the production of vodka from rose hips and hawthorn is being developed," he added.

Alirzaev noted that prices of vodkas vary from 14 to 24 manats in the local market.

"Our products are manufactured using French, German and Italian technologies. We plan to gradually increase the production of vodka as demand grows in the domestic market and outside the country. At the same time, Russia, China, Poland and Belarus are potential markets for sales," he said.

Alcoholic beverages of the company have an international certificate of ISO:22000, a certificate of conformity issued by the State Committee for Standardization, Metrology and Patents and a hygiene certificate issued by the Center for Hygiene and Epidemiology of the Ministry of Health of Azerbaijan.

The company applies the latest technologies and has installed modern German and Italian equipment.

Sharg Ulduzu LLC has 110 hectares of vineyards in Shamkir district, where seedlings brought from France, Iran and Georgia, as well as local grape varieties are planted. Varieties such as Chardonnay, Bayan-Shira, Merlot and Shiraz are grown in the vineyards.
