Kazakhstan Railways to undertake over 30 activities for services digitalization

Kazakhstan Temir Zholy (Kazakhstan Railways) is planning on implementation of a number of initiatives within the framework of digitalization, which will provide for a significant increase of digitalization of services provided by the company, a representative of the company told Trend.

According to the representative, the presentation of the renewed ‘Digital Transformation’ program took place in Kazakhstan Temir Zholy (KTZ) on August 21, 2019.

“The portfolio of the renewed program includes 13 strategic initiatives, such as improving operational efficiency, transportation process, increase of transit traffic, effective information technology management, development of logistics and passenger transportation, modernization of railway infrastructure, CYBERSHIELD of Kazakhstan concept implementation, introduction of new procurement system and others,” the official said.

He added that strategic initiatives of the renewed program’s portfolio include 15 projects and 34 activities.

“These measures are aimed at increase of industrial safety, corporate culture and employee potential, company core business development, and are aimed at synergistic effect achievement by the group of Samruk-Kazyna National Welfare Fund companies,” the official concluded.
