Azerbaijani winery to launch new dry wine production line

Jalilabad-2, a large Azerbaijani factory producing alcoholic beverages located in Jalilabad district, will soon complete the development of a new line for the production of two wine varieties, the company's chief technologist Vidadi Valiyev told Trend.

According to the chief technologist, the grape season has been completed, and over 2,000 tons of grapes have been harvested from ​​350 hectares of vineyards.

"In the next ten days, the development of the line for the production of new wine varieties will be completed. So, on two production lines it is planned to produce up to 20,000 bottles of dry and semi-dry wine daily," Valiyev said.

According to the technologist, in the first eight months of 2019, the company produced up to 160,000 decaliters of wine, which is 15 percent more compared to the last year.

"At the moment, the plant produces over 12 types of alcoholic beverages, including cognac," Valiyev added.

The products of Jalilabad-2 have a certificate of conformity issued by the State Committee for Standardization, Metrology and Patents of Azerbaijan.

The factory uses Italian and Bulgarian equipment in production.
