Nearly 60 projects of mining & quarrying industry to be launched in Kazakhstan

Some 13 major ventures of mining and quarrying industry are to launch 58 projects worth 315.4 billion tenge of investments within the framework of Fourth Industrial Revolution (Industry 4.0), Trend reports with reference to the press office of prime minister of Kazakhstan.

According to the information, 20 projects worth 88.7 billion tenge have already been completed.

In addition, a project on creating seven model digital factories with the aim to demonstrate digital technologies and the effects of digitalization, popularize Industry 4.0 and develop government support measures, is being launched in Kazakhstan.

As of October 17, companies have already completed 14 projects worth 7.5 billion tenge and as a result, they are receiving benefits in the form of savings by reducing equipment downtime, reducing resource losses and others.

By 2022, introduction of digital solutions by 90 enterprises is planned (about 200 digitalization projects). Some 35 ventures have already implemented projects.

“Currently, export-oriented ventures with high added value (mining and metallurgical complex, mechanical engineering, chemical industry, pharmaceuticals) are of priority in digitalization plans,” the report said.
