Iran's exports via Sistan & Baluchestan province exceed $460M

In the first six months (from March 21 to Sept. 22, 2019) of the current Iranian year, Iran's exports via customs and border markets of its Sistan and Baluchestan province amounted to $464.2 million in monetary terms, Chairman of Sistan and Baluchestan Industry, Mine and Trade Organization Nadir Mirshikar said, Trend reports citing Shata News Agency.

Compared to the same period of the previous Iranian year, the exports increased by 51 percent, Mirshikar added.

During the reported period, Iran exported goods worth $124.1 million via the Sistan and Baluchestan's customs, which is 27 percent of the total exports via the province, the chairman said.

The exports via the province's border markets amounted to $340.1 million in monetary terms, which comprises 73 percent of the total exports via Sistan and Baluchestan, Mirshikar noted.

According to the chairman, main destinations for goods exported via Sistan and Baluchestan province were Afghanistan, Pakistan, Turkey, Kuwait and the UAE. In his words, building materials, fruits, vegetables and various fuels accounted for the bulk of the exports.
