Azerbaijan's Sheki Winery to start to produce fruit vodka

The Azerbaijani biggest company producing alcoholic beverages - Sheki Winery plans to start producing fruit vodka, Vidadi Hasanov, director of the company, told Trend.

“More than 20 types of fruity vodkas are expected to be produced,” Hasanov said.

"The biggest preference will be given to the production of apple vodka taking into account the great demand for it in the foreign markets,” the director of the company said. “The new types of alcoholic beverages are planned to be exported to Russia and Europe."

Hasanov stressed that the winery is currently negotiating with Belgium and Belarus regarding the upcoming export volumes.

“In accordance with our estimates, the production line is expected to be launched in early 2020,” he said.

The Sheki winery was founded in 2006 with a design production capacity of 210,000 decalitres, that is, 280,000 bottles of wine.

There are the buildings for wine packaging and weighing, an office building, a pump room, as well as premises for various technological equipment on the territory of the company.

There are also two wine bunkers for receiving white and red grapes, two lines for production of white and red wine and another line for the production of elite brands of wine.
