Goychay Sud, an Azerbaijani producer of dairies and fruit juices, will significantly expand cheese production by the end of 2019, a source at the company told Trend.
According to the source, the company is exclusively aiming to increase the production of Chanakh cheese.
"The production of this cheese will increase significantly after the opening of the second line, which will be launched by the end of 2019 in a new unit of the enterprise. At the moment, the unit has one production line producing cheese. The second line will start operating by the end of December 2019," the source said.
"At the moment, the production capacity of the new unit reaches 50 percent of the potential; by the end of 2019, this indicator, according to our estimates, will double," the source added.
According to the source, the enterprise will continue to increase production capacity.
"At present, three types of cheese are produced, but the Chanakh cheese is in the greatest demand. The enterprise has produced over 200 tons of cheese in 2019 so far. Currently, the dairy products of the enterprise are intended for sale on the domestic market, and fully cover the demand of the population in this region, and is also supplied to Baku and other cities of the country," the source said.
The enterprise operates at full capacity and is equipped with modern equipment of Swedish and Italian production.
The company's products have a Certificate of Conformity issued by the State Committee for Standardization, Metrology and Patents of Azerbaijan.
