The biggest shopping center in Azerbaijan will open in Baku, a source familiar with the matter told Trend.
The Deniz Mall new shopping center is located on the Caspian coast, according to the source.
“The opening of a new shopping facility is expected in early February next year,” the source noted. “The shopping center has five floors, it is located on an area of 120,000 square meters and includes entertainment venues, shops, restaurants and a cinema.”
Earlier, the opening of the center was planned before the end of this year, but, due to unfinished work, the construction completion date of this facility was postponed to next year.
At the moment, 90 percent of retail outlets operating in the center have already been leased.
The shopping center building was designed in 2007 by famous designer Chapman Taylor.
The construction was originally conceived as a conference center, a venue for weddings and other ceremonies and events, but later it was decided to make it a traditional place for shopping and family recreation for Baku residents.
It is expected that such well-known international and Azerbaijani brands as McDonald’s, Alma Store, Cinema Plus, Yargici, Swarovski, Kinder Land, Etam, Cinnabon, Flo, Starbucks and others will be presented in the shopping center.
