Kazakhstan among leaders by consumer prices growth in CIS

Following the end of nine months of 2019, the consumer prices in CIS countries increased by 3.4 percent compared to the same period of last years, whereas prices of industrial goods manufacturers decreased by 1.6 percent, Trend reports with reference to the data of Kazakhstan’s Statistics Committee.

Thus, Kazakhstan is fifth among the countries by the growth of consumer prices.

The increase of consumer prices during the reporting period is observed in Uzbekistan by 9.7 percent, Tajikistan by 6.5 percent, Moldova by 4.3 percent, Belarus and Ukraine 3.4 percent each, Kazakhstan 3.3 percent.

Furthermore, increase of consumer prices in Russia amounted to 2.3 percent, Azerbaijan by 0.9 percent, Kyrgyzstan by 0.6 percent.

In turn, Kazakhstan is sixth among CIS countries by increase of prices of industrial goods manufacturers (0.4 percent).

Thus, first five places account for Uzbekistan (24.6 percent), Azerbaijan (11.3 percent), Kyrgyzstan (9.6 percent), Belarus (4.3 percent) and Moldova (2.5 percent). The seventh place accounts for Ukraine (growth by 0.2 percent)

Data on Turkmenistan was not taken into account when preparing the list.
