Azerbaijan’s Alprof company, which produces aluminum and PVC profiles for door and window systems, plans to expand production volumes in the medium term, a source in the company told Trend.

“The company produces plastic profiles in different colors, the cost of which varies from 2.8 manat ($1.6) to 4.6 manat ($2.7) per linear meter,” the source said. “We plan to increase production from the beginning of next year. Presently, sales volumes of our products in Azerbaijan have improved, although there has been a noticeable decline for the last two years.”

“Since the beginning of the year, first four months have seen a decline in sales, and the same picture has remained in the subsequent three months of this year,” the source added. “At the same time, since September this year, there has been a noticeable increase in sales in the domestic market. In the fall and winter seasons, we expect a significant increase in sales, and in this regard, we plan to gradually increase production volumes. According to our estimates, the decline in sales of our products was associated with decrease in activity in the construction market, and as a result of this, in decrease in the purchasing power of the population.”

The source also noted that plastic profiles are most in demand, because they are practical and convenient when used at home.

The source added that the products meet the requirements of the construction market and the company is the first manufacturer in Azerbaijan to supply PVC profiles for door and window systems to the local market.

The company has been operating in the Azerbaijani market since 2001.
