The CEO of Iran's Chabahar Free Zone Abdul-Karim Kordi said that the construction and completion of the airport in the area would change the business and facilitate the entry of passengers, tourists and investors., Trend reports via IRNA.
“The construction of the airport is planned on a land area of 2,800 hectares with the passenger terminal at 13,000 m2, a four-kilometer runway with a width of 60 m,” Kordi said.
He went on to say that the capacity of arrival and departure of more than 800,000 passengers annually with five domestic flights and 2 foreign flights is projected.
“The airport will be inaugurated within two years” he added.
“With the completion of the transport infrastructure the employment, production and development of Chabahar will be accelerated.”
