Baku Textile Factory, a large Azerbaijani enterprise, is expanding the production of women's clothing, the factory's Director Sakina Babayeva told Trend.
According to the director, the factory completed the development of new lingerie varieties.
"We plan to update the production line of lingerie in 2020. The tentative launch date of the new line is expected in March 2020. This in turn will significantly increase the production of this type of textile products," Sakina Babayeva said.
"Today, the factory monthly sales of textile products reach 550,000-600,000 manat ($323,529-$352,941), and we plan to increase this figure to 700,000-750,000 ($411,764-$441,176) after the launch of the new line. The products will be mostly sold abroad. Mainly Russia and Saudi Arabia are considered as importers."
Presently, 300 people work at the Baku Textile Factory and the enterprise uses seven production lines.
The factory has been operating since 1939. It was the first factory in the South Caucasus in the field of textile industry.
Today, the factory operates in line with European standards. The factory has been provided with the latest German and Japanese equipment and technologies.
The factory produces daily clothes, evening dresses, corporate, children's, sports and medical clothes, as well as overalls, school uniforms and all kinds of workwear.
