In the first nine months (from March 21 to Dec. 21, 2019) of the current Iranian year, Iran's exports via its Kermanshah province amounted to over $1.6 billion, Director General of Kermanshah Customs Administration Khalil Heydari said at a press conference held at Kermanshah Chamber Commerce, Industries, Mines and Agriculture (KRCCIMA), Trend reports via IRNA.

Heydari noted that the exporters of Kermanshah province itself accounted to $900 million of the total volume, while the rest $725 million accounted to the share of other Iranian province.

Compared to the same period of the last Iranian year, Iran's exports via the borders of Kermanshah province decreased by 25 percent in monetary terms, the director general said.

During the reported period, four million tons of goods were exported via Kermanshah's borders, which is 5 percent less compared to the same period of the last Iranian year, the customs official added.

Iran's Kermanshah province has six border checkpoints with Iraq. About half of Iran's annual exports to Iraq go through this province.

Currently, over 1,000 manufacturing facilities operate in Kermanshah.
