Average level of consumer prices and tariffs in Uzbekistan amounted to 1.7 percent in December of 2019, compared to November, Trend reports citing Uzbekistan’s State Statistics Committee.
In general, from January 2019 through December 2019, goods and services in the consumer market on average went up by 15.2 percent.
In general, in 2018, the average increase in prices and tariffs in the consumer market amounted to 14.3 percent.
As for price changes by large groups, as in December 2019 compared to November, food products rose in price by 3.3 percent in the last month of the year, while non-food products added only 0, 5 percent, and services - 0.3 percent.
In general, in 2019, food products became more expensive by 18.6 percent. Non-food products during this period rose by 10.9 percent, services - by 15.2 percent.
The maximum increase in prices for goods and services for the month during 2019 was recorded in August (by 2.9 percent). Against this background, the growth rates of prices for goods in August were also at a relatively high level (monthly growth in food products amounted to 2.3 percent, non-food products - 2.1 percent).
