Iran reveals stats on water, power projects implemented in some provinces

Some 85 big and important water and power projects worth 70 trillion rials ($1.6 billion) were implemented in 18 Iranian provinces in the second half of this Iranian year (beginning on March 21, 2019), Trend reports referring to the Iranian Ministry of Energy.

“A total of 19 projects were implemented in South Khorasan province on August 27, Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad province on September 17, Zanjan province on October 5 and Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari province on October 7,” the ministry said.

“The investments worth 500 billion rials (about $11.9 million) were made in one project in South Khorasan province while 1.6 trillion rials (about $39.5 million) - in eight projects in Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad province,” the ministry added.

“The investments worth 1.5 trillion rials (about $36.7 million) were made in three projects in Zanjan province while over 1 trillion rials (about $24.2 million) - in seven projects in Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari province,” the ministry said.

“Two projects were implemented through investments worth 650 billion rials ($15.4 million) in Tehran province on October 8,” the ministry said. “One project was implemented through investments worth 354 billion rials (about $8.4 million) in Ilam province on October 15. Four projects were implemented through investments worth 1.5 trillion rials (about $37.9 million) in Qum province on October 22.”

“Four projects were implemented through investments worth 4.9 trillion rials (about $118 million) in West Azerbaijan province on November 5,” the ministry said. Some 22 projects were implemented through investments worth 2.1 trillion rials (approximately $51.7 million) in Yazd province on November 10. Five projects were implemented through the investments worth 18 trillion rials (about $428 million) in Kerman province on November 11.”

“Two projects were implemented through the investments worth 892 billion rials ($21.2 million) in Semnan province on November 18,” the ministry said. “One project was implemented through investments worth 9.6 trillion rials (about $22.8 million) on November 27 in East Azerbaijan province. One project was implemented through investments worth 1.2 trillion rials (about $28.5 million) in Fars province on November 19.”

“Four projects were implemented through investments worth 13.5 trillion rials (approximately $323 million) on December 10 in Kermanshah province,” the ministry said. “Four projects were implemented through investments worth 5.7 trillion rials ($136 million) in Kurdistan province on December 17.”

“One project was implemented through investments worth 140 billion rials (approximately $3.3 million) in Bushehr province on December 23,” the ministry said. “Twelve projects were implemented through investments worth 5.5 trillion rials (approximately $132 million) in Razavi Khorasan province on December 24. Three projects were implemented through investments worth 1.4 trillion rials (about $34.5 million) in Gilan province on December 26.”

“Five thermal power plants generating 544-megawatt-electricity were commissioned through investments worth 30.4 trillion rials (about $724 million) in three provinces during the reporting period,” the ministry said. “Six renewable-energy power plants generating 231-megawatt-electricity were commissioned in five other provinces through investments worth 15.6 trillion rials (about $371 million).”
