Azerbaijani company eyes to increase supplies of confectionery products abroad

The manufacturer of confectionery in Azerbaijan, the Bollug company, plans to increase the export of certain types of its products, a source in the company told Trend.

This includes exports of chocolate and cookies, according to the source.

“Last year, the company expanded the varieties of namely these types of products, which are also in great demand in the domestic market,” the source noted. “In parallel, we plan to establish relations with new foreign partners. Last year we received offers related to export to Palestine. We plan to establish ties with potential partners in this country in the coming months, for export purposes.”

The source also noted that last year the company increased production volumes by 10-15 percent.

“We produce a wide range of sweets, including chocolate products, sweets, waffles and cookies,” the source added. “The company’s production potential fully covers domestic consumption, therefore we plan to increase export potential. The company’s immediate plans also include export to the Russian market.”

The products have a certificate of conformity issued by Azerbaijan’s State Committee for Standardization, Metrology and Patents. The company uses Turkish-made equipment.
