TEHRAN,Iran, Jan. 9
Trend:
Kazakhstan will issue visas to Iranian businessmen from the start of the new Iranian year (begins March 21,2020), Kazakhstan Ambassador in Iran Askhat Orazbay told Trend.
"Kazakhstan has multiple visa policies, and Iranian citizens who travel to Kazakhstan sometimes have problems. The foreign ministries of the two countries have held negotiations on this," Orazbay said.
"Currently, the foreign ministries are in the final stage of creating an agreement between Iran and Kazakhstan and according to predictions it would be signed by Nowruz (March 21,2020) hence from that date forward traveling to Kazakhstan will be simpler," he added.
"At the moment, the process of traveling to Kazakhstan is difficult but based on new agreement, Iranian businessmen who seek to travel to Kazakhstan for business, can seek help with obtaining visas from Iran's Chamber of Commerce. This is advantageous, since Iran's Chamber of Commerce will have authority in this regard," said the ambassador.
Speaking of opening of bank accounts for Iranian businessmen in Kazakhstan, Orazbay said there shouldn't be any problems.
"Our banks actively work with the US, but they're reluctant to work with Iran. However, in general, individual Iranian citizens can open bank accounts here," he said.
"There is a problem of transferring funds between governments due to US sanctions on Iran, but I don't think there would be any issues with money transfers as far as legal individuals are concerned," Orazbay said.
