Azerbaijani winery to produce new alcoholic beverages

BAKU, Azerbaijan, Jan. 16

The biggest producer of alcoholic beverages in Azerbaijan, Jalilabad-2 winery, located in Jalilabad district of the country, will produce new alcoholic beverages, a source in the winery told Trend.

“The winery plans to increase the range of wine and cognac,” the source said. “At this stage, the daily production volumes at the winery reach more than 20,000 bottles of wine and 10,000 bottles of cognac.”

“Wine production is expected to increase up to 25,000 bottles per day while cognac production - up to 13,000-15,000 bottles in the first half of the year,” the source said. “We expect to achieve such a result thanks to the production of new types of alcoholic beverages."

“Presently, potential customers of our products are Russia, Belarus and Ukraine,” the source said.

The winery produced more than 170,000 deciliters of wine in 2019, which is 17 percent more than in 2018. Over 40 percent of products were exported.

The products of the winery have a certificate of conformity issued by Azerbaijani State Committee for Standardization, Metrology and Patents.

The winery uses Italian and Bulgarian equipment.
