Iran discloses trade turnover volume

Iran exported 103.6 million tons of products worth $31.9 million, excluding crude oil, during nine months (from March 21 through December 21, 2019) of this Iranian year, Trend reports referring to the Iran Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines and Agriculture.

In accordance with the report, export value decreased by 5 percent while export volume increased by 18 percent during nine months of this Iranian year compared to the same period of last Iranian year (from March 21 through December 21, 2018).

Most of products excluding crude oil were exported during the ninth month (from November 22 through December 21, 2019) of this Iranian year. Some 15.2 million tons of products worth $4.8 billion were exported.

In accordance with the report, export volume increased by 30 percent while export value by 41 percent during the ninth month of this Iranian year compared to the ninth month of last Iranian year.

Some 25 million tons of products worth $31.8 billion were imported during nine months of this Iranian year. Import value increased by 15 percent while export volume by 19 percent.

The import value of products increased by 9.4 percent and reached $3.5 billion while the import volume increased by 26.1 percent and reached 2.9 million tons during the ninth month compared to the eighth month (from October 22 through November 21, 2019).

The import volume of goods increased by 21 percent while import value - by 13 percent during the ninth month of this Iranian year compared to the ninth month of last Iranian year.

The Iran Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines and Agriculture failed to disclose the full trade turnover as no detailed statistics on Iran's imports and exports was available.

The statistics on trade turnover in Iran has not been fully disclosed since May of last Iranian year.
