Iran's Zanjan province exported 153,000 tons of goods worth $225 million in the first nine months (from March 21 to Dec. 21, 2019) of the current Iranian year, Chairman of Zanjan Industry, Mine and Trade Organization Nasir Faghfuri said, Trend reports with reference to the organization's web portal.
Faghfuri noted that lead ingots accounted to 78 percent of the province's exports.
Other main export items included electric cables, transformers, iron wires, dates, raisins, dairy products, propylene and rubber raw materials, the chairman said.
According to the chairman, 66 percent of Zanjan's exports were supplied to Turkey.
Turkey is followed by Iraq, Oman, Afghanistan, Russia, Vietnam, Turkmenistan and Azerbaijan, Faghfuri added.
The chairman underlined that eight new countries, namely Ukraine, Egypt, Belarus, Bahrain, Maurities, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan and Nigeria, were included in the list of the province's export destinations in the reported period.
Three new products were added to the list of exported goods with the aim of diversifying the Zanjan's exports, Faghfuri added.
