Minister: Task of Iranian gov’t - to take measures for future investments

The task of the Iranian government is to take measures for future investments, Iran’s Energy Minister Reza Ardakanian said at a groundbreaking ceremony of a thermal power plant in Mazandaran province in northern Iran, Trend reports referring to the Iranian Energy Ministry’s website.

Ardakanian noted that investments in Iran’s electricity and water sectors are of great importance.

The minister added that the Iranian government is starting other projects as well, besides finalizing the unfinished projects and commissioning them.

Ardakanian said that 227 projects worth 330 trillion rials (about $7.8 billion) will be commissioned by the end of this Iranian year (March 21, 2020).

Foundation of a 500-megawatt thermal power plant has been laid in Mahmudabad district of Mazandaran province. The power plant will be built on an area of ​​16 hectares. The investments in the plant are expected at 300 million euros.
