Azerbaijan's Jalilabad-2 company talks production, exports of alcohol drinks

Jalilabad-2, a large producer of alcoholic beverages in Azerbaijan, plans to increase production and exports of wine in 2020, a source at the company told Trend.

According to the source, the company has set its sights on the growth of daily wine production.

"The plant plans to bring daily production to up to 25,000 bottles of wine in the upcoming months. Currently, this figure is 20,000 bottles per day. It is expected that it will increase up to 32,000 bottles of wine per day by the end of 2020, thanks to the opening of additional lines. Moreover, it is also planned to increase the production of cognac and cognac spirit. A new production line is expected to be developed in this regard," the source said.

According to the source, the company's plans also include an increase in export deliveries.

"This year, it is planned to export alcoholic beverages to Russia and a number of other CIS countries. The company intends to launch an isobaric bottling line in order to increase production and export volumes," the source said.

The company produced more than 170,000 deciliters of wine in 2019, which is 17 percent more than in 2018. Over 40 percent of the products were exported.

The products of the Jalilabad-2 have a certificate of conformity issued by Azerbaijani State Committee for Standardization, Metrology and Patents.

The company uses Italian and Bulgarian equipment.
