The agricultural insurance covers more than 27,300 hectares in Parsabad county of Iran’s north-western Ardabil province, Hasan Nazifi, director of the agricultural organization of Parsabad county of Ardabil province, said.
“The Agricultural Insurance Fund’s agricultural and garden insurance has increased by several times this Iranian year compared to last Iranian year (from March 21, 2018 through March 21, 2019),” Nazifi added, Trend reports referring to the Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA).
The director of the organization also added that garden insurance covers 243 hectares this Iranian year.
“The loans worth 131 billion rials (about $3.11 million) have been issued as the working capital to support producers and resume the activity of agricultural enterprises this year (beginning on March 21, 2019),” Nazifi said. “As a result, seven production facilities have resumed their activity.”
Northern Ardabil province borders with Azerbaijan.
