Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan reached more than 30 agreements for $500 million at the Urgench forum, Trend reports citing the Uzbek media.
Urgench, Khorezm province hosted the second inter provinces forum on the “Cooperation of provincial business in the field of agricultural cooperation, industry and tourism” theme between Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan.
Today, the prime ministers of Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan, Abdulla Aripov and Askar Mamin also held bilateral talks in Urgench.
“Our main goal is to elevate the two-way trade up to $5 billion. In the near future, it is planned to bring this figure to $10 billion. Steps are being taken to facilitate unhindered flow of goods to the markets of both countries,” said Abdulla Aripov
“The outcomes of this forum show that our provinces have a huge untapped potential,” stressed the Uzbek PM.
It should be noted that the forum was organized with the aim of further strengthening the close military-strategic partnership between Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan, exchanging information on the industrial potential and capabilities of the regions, direct cooperation and identifying promising areas.
