Azerbaijani company talks on decrease in sales volumes of reinforced concrete structures

BAKU, Azerbaijan, March 24

By Matanat Nasibova – Trend:

The volume of sales of building reinforced concrete structures which are manufactured by Azerbaijan’s Tatoglu-Az Beton Konstruksiya industrial company has greatly dropped over the past two years, Director of the company Ayaz Abdulhamidov told Trend.

“A similar situation is observed everywhere in the domestic market of building materials,” the director of the company said.

"At the same time, the sales volume of the company on the country's market of building materials since the beginning of this year have decreased by 15-20 percent compared to 2019,” Abdulhamidov added. “The sales volume dropped up by 25 percent as of 2019 compared to 2018.”

“The downward trend in sales volumes is still preserved this year,” the director of the company said. “Meanwhile, the company's products are fully sold domestically and are not intended for export. The company’s production volumes also decrease due to a decrease in market demand. I think that this fact is associated with weakening of the construction sector in the country."

The company is engaged in the production of water pipes, sewer pipes, sewers, road curbs and other reinforced concrete structures, as well as the sale of its products to the construction companies.

Over the past six years, the company completed the construction and reconstruction of sewer systems in Gabala, Agdash and Khachmaz districts, Baku’s Masazir, Novkhani and Mehtiabad settlements, the sewage system of the White City in Baku, the sewage and drainage systems of the Sumgait Polymer Plant.

The company has been operating in Azerbaijan since 2014.
