By Elnur Baghishov - Trend:

The construction of a plant for packaging livestock products will begin at the Kouhin industrial Park of Qazvin province in northwestern Iran in the current Iranian year (starting from March 20, 2020), said Executive Director of Qazvin Small Industries and Industrial Parks Organization (ISIPO) Hamedreza Khanpour, Trend reports citing IRNA.

According to Khanpour an agreement was signed to provide the investor with land in the industrial park last month of the last Iranian year (February 20-March 19, 2020).

Khanpour added that this is the first time, any foreign investor has started operating a manufacturing plant in Iran.

The official said that 100 hectares of land have been prepared in the industrial parks of Qazvin and Kouhin and can be handed over to investors.

"There are a number of incentives for investors in industrial parks. Examples of this is the low cost of land with ready infrastructure and and 13 years of tax evasion," he said.

Khanpour said that it is planned to develop the Heidarieh Industrial Park in the Takestan county in this year. Thus, despite the interest of investors, the industrial park will be connected to the Qazvin-Zanjan highway and railway.

"The main investment priority in the Heidarieh Industrial Park is the production of spare car parts. At the same time, it is planned to open an office of the customs office in this industrial park," he said.

There are 20 industrial parks in Iran's Qazvin province. The activities of 49 production enterprises were restored last Iranian year (from March 21, 2019 to March 20, 2020) and 525 people were provided with jobs.
