The export orders worth $147.7 million were executed via Azerbaijan’s Azexport portal from January through March, which is 17.2 percent less compared to the same period of 2019, Trend reports referring to the Export Review of Azerbaijan’s Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communications.

The volume of export orders completed in March 2020, made up $44.8 million, which is 36.6 percent more compared to March 2019.

From 2017 to date, non-oil products worth $1.7 billion ordered via the portal were exported from Azerbaijan to 141 foreign countries.

The top-10 goods exported in March 2020 via the portal were potatoes, tomatoes, apples, garlic, tobacco, cottonseed oil, onions, medical gauze, ginger and mineral water.

The Azexport portal (azexport.az) was created in accordance with the president’s decree on creation of a unified database of goods produced in Azerbaijan dated Sept. 21, 2016.

The goal of the portal, which is managed by the Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communications, is to provide information on products of Azerbaijani origin and a profitable platform for their sale on foreign and domestic markets.
